Obituary

Lawrence — Carol A. Kunde died on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Lawrence General Hospital. She was 76 years old and left this earth with family by her side.
A life long Massachusetts resident, Carol was born in 1936 to parents, Lillian and Walter DeLoge and was the younger sister of Barbara. Raised and educated in the Catholic Church, her faith was very important to her. Growing up, Carol was a bright child, graduating St. Mary’s high school at 16 years old. Upon graduation, she began her work career as a secretary in Boston. Soon she began work at New England Tel and Tel. She worked as an operator and was promoted to routing coordinator for the telephone company’s technicians, working in this capacity until her retirement.
Her life was best defined by love and laughter. Carol married her husband and soul-mate, Henry Kunde, one of those rare couples that were truly meant for each other. They shared not only a lifelong love, but also a sharp wit, a fantastic gift for story telling and a level of compassion and generosity that extended beyond family. Carol shared a very close bond with both her mother, Lillian and her sister and best friend, Barbara. Carol was an avid crafter and loved to shop. She was a wonderful cook. Her beloved poodles were like children to her. She loved the shore and never met a lobster she didn’t like.
Of all the gifts that Carol brought to this world, the greatest was her love. She was like a second mother to her sister’s daughters. Carol had a way of making people feel loved and special. Her joie de vie will live on in those lives she touched so beautifully.
She is survived and remembered by her three adoring nieces, Pamela C. Herbert of Old Bridge, N.J., her husband Glenn and their children, Melissa and Greg; Leslie E. Jacques-Capon of Durham, N.C. and her husband, Stuart; Sandra L. Fox of Summerfield, N.C. and her husband, Greg; her brother-in-law, Alfred T. Jacques of Greensboro, N.C. as well as her beloved cat, Turnip, now in N.C.
She was welcomed to heaven by her mother, her husband and her sister.
