Obituary



STERLING/ LEICESTER: Warren G. Huntoon, 91, of 169 Beaman Road died Wednesday, Oct. 31 in Worcester Rehab. & Healthcare Center after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 67 years Mary E. (Gardner) Huntoon, two sons Wayne G. Huntoon and his wife Carmen of Sterling and John R. Huntoon and his wife Holly of Millbury, three daughters Carole M. Smith and her husband David of Danielson, CT, Susan C. Richard and her husband Paul of Worcester and Lauren E. Chaffee and her husband Andrew of Worcester, a brother Robert L. Huntoon and his wife Isabel of Shoreline, WA, 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a son Lance Cpl. Richard W. Huntoon who was killed in action in the Vietnam War on May 13, 1966.

Mr. Huntoon was born in Worcester, son of George L. and Ebba C. (Stromberg) Huntoon. He was a foreman at New England Envelope Co. in Worcester retiring in 1986. He served his country during WW II in the United States Army. He graduated from Roslindale High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a fan of all the New England sports teams. The family would like to thank the staff of Summit Eldercare and Worcester Rehab. & Healthcare Center for their compassionate care.

The Funeral will be held Wednesday, Nov. 7 from MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemtery, Leicester.. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 8:30-9:30 AM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Assoc. of Eastern MA, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
