Fernando C. Raimundo, age 67 of Fall River, passed away Nov. 2, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Maria A. (Lucas) Raimundo. Born in St. José, Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Açores, the son of the late José M. and Maria T. (Cabral) Raimundo. Prior to retiring, Fernando worked as a Weaver at Joan Fabric Co. for 37 years. He was a member of the Don Carlos Club, St. Anthony Band Club, and the V.F.W. Post 486 Pvt. Joseph Francis Post.
Fernando loved to Impersonate Elvis Presley, and would refer to himself as “The Portuguese Elvis”. He was a very happy and joyful man who would put a smile on the face of anyone he met.
Besides his wife of Fall River, he is survived by his 2 children: Elizabeth Boudria of Fall River and Jeffrey Raimundo of Freetown; grandchildren: Felecia A. & Bryan C. Boudria, & Sage C. Raimundo; sister: Maria Silva of Fall River; nephews: Fernando & Tony Areias.
A funeral mass with cremains will take place on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Bedford St. at 9:00 A.M. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC.
