Dr. George B. Yerozolimsky, a resident of Andover, since 1988, immigrating from Moscow, Russia and beloved husband of Yelena V. Yerozolimsky, died suddenly, on Monday, October 22, 2012, while on vacation with his wife, in Turks and Caicos, Bahama, Islands. He was 60 years old.
Born in Moscow, Russia, on June 12, 1952, George was the beloved son of Boris Yerozolimsky of Andover and the late Alexandra Zilberman. Dr. Yerozolimsky was a Neonatologist for Boston Children's Hospital, Beverly NICU for many years. In his spare time, George loved listening to music and was an avid reader. He also enjoyed long drives, traveling and being near the ocean. He was also a lover of world and political history. George was a man with a big heart, sharp brain, rare sense of humor and unforgettable smile. Above all, he was a devoted husband and father.
Besides his beloved wife Yelena, George will be very sorely missed by his loving son; Sergey G. Yerozolimsky, brother Aleksey B. Yerozolimsky of North Andover and dear niece Vera A. Stupina of Maryland. He was also the cherished great-uncle of Anton and Maya and father of the late Katya B. Yerozolimsky.
Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Monday, November 5, 2012, from 10 AM to 1 PM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. A graveside service was held at 1:30 PM in Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover. A memorial and reception followed burial at 2 PM in Temple Emanuel, 7 Haggett's Pond Road, Andover.
