Rita M. (Racicot) Willard, 91, of Worcester, passed away Monday, October 29th in her home. Her husband of 34 years, Joseph G. Willard, died in 1979. She leaves two daughters, Christine L. Corbisiero and her husband Joseph of Ocean Isle Beach, NC and Marie I. Case and her husband Randall of Charlton; a sister, Dorothy J. Racicot of Worcester, with whom she lived; a grandson, Stephen McGee-James of CA; a great granddaughter, Kate Sophia James of CA; a brother in law, Wilfred Robillard of Westminster; and four nephews, Stephen, Paul, Robert, and Edward Racicot. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph E. Willard in 2009, her daughter, Carolyn Willard in 1960, a brother, Edward Racicot, and a sister, Irene Robillard.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Beeso) Racicot and graduated from the former High School of Commerce. Mrs. Willard was a lifelong member of Blessed Sacrament Church and the former St. Vincent Hospital Women’s Guild. She enjoyed family gatherings, dancing, bingo, playing cards, and traveling.
The funeral is Monday, November 5th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. A visiting hour is from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M. Monday in the funeral home.
