Obituary

Leo M. Gannon Jr., of Plymouth formerly of Malden and Gloucester, died on October 27th at Plymouth Crossings at the age of 86. He is survived by his beloved wife Bridget (Powers) of Plymouth, his sisters Ruth Gannon of Newburyport and Grace Rudolph of Plymouth and many nieces and nephews. Leo was the brother of the late Paul Gannon of Winston-Salem, NC. Born in Ohio, he was the son of the late Leo Gannon and Lillian (Walsh). He graduated from St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio and from Boston College in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII and was a member of the American Legion. Leo enjoyed reading, oil painting, walking, spending time with his family and especially spending time with the love of his life, Bridget. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 2nd at St. Peter’s Church in Plymouth at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery in Gloucester. There are no visiting hours. Arrangements made by the Richard Davis Funeral Homes of Plymouth and Manomet. At Leo’s requests, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Charity of One’s Choice.
