TEWKSBURY – Elsie Gutierrez, age 72, died Wednesday afternoon at the Lowell General Hospital. For the last twelve years, she had been a resident of the East Street group home in Tewksbury.
She was born in San Germain, Puerto Rico, on November 17, 1939,one of thirteen children of the late Victor and Esmerald (Rosado) Gutierrez, but had been a resident of greater Lowell most of her life.
Besides her housemates and caretakers at the Group Home, she leaves her sister Victoria Gutierrez of Lowell and her late brother Alfredo Gutierrez from NY. who had served as her primary caregivers throughout her life, her sister's Florence Gutierrez, Brenda Toro of Lowell, Marisol Gutierrez of P.R. and Monserate Gutierrez of NY., and brothers, Luis, Enrique, Edwin, and Raul Gutierrez all of P.R.,and the late Victor, Cruisito, Ruben Gutierrez of PR. along with many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours Saturday, Nov. 3, from 4:00p to 6:00p in the funeral home. A Prayer service will follow at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday evening. Memorial to The Friends of Hawthorne P.O. Box A Hawthorne, Ma. 01937, will be appreciated.
