Barbara Tutor Harrison, age 75, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley, MS. She was born in 1937 in Oakland, MS to the late Roscoe Roosevelt and Alice Pauline Pendergrass Tutor. Barbara was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Water Valley, she enjoyed her flowers and working in the garden and she dearly loved her family.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 2, 2012 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 3, 2012 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Danny Kelley officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery in Water Valley, MS with Donnie Methvin, Stephen Tuto, Zack Kelsoe, Billy Jack Welch, Kenny Ray, Chris Tutor, Jon Tutor and W. R. Pendergrass serving as pallbearers.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Elaine Harrison (fiancé-Michael Crow) of Water Valley, MS; her son, Mark Noah Harrison of Horn Lake, MS; two sisters, Oneal Hillhouse of Banner, MS and Bessie Methvin of Water Valley, MS; one brother, John Tutor (Bonnie) of Hernando, MS; three grandchildren, Lesley Mason, Zachary Kelsoe and Mark Noah Harrison, Jr. and one great-grandson Mark Noah Harrison, III.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Miford Noah Harrison and one brother, Louis Tutor.
