Therese “Terri” M. ( Thibault) Trudel, 88, of Salem, NH, passed away gracefully and peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on October 26, 2012 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, MA.
Born in Haverhill, MA to the late Louis and Rosealma ( Charbonneau) Thibault, Terri graduated from Haverhill High School and went on to pursue a diploma in nursing at St. Joseph School of Nursing in Lowell, MA. She devoted her nursing career to caring for newborn infants at Bon Secours Hospital in Methuen, MA for over 30 years. She later worked as an office nurse for Andover Pediatrics in Andover, MA.
Terri married Albert C. Trudel in 1950 and they raised their two children in their Methuen home where they lived for more than 45 years. She moved to Salem after her husband passed away.
She was described by her family and friends as one of the most caring and compassionate people they had ever known. After her retirement Terri enjoyed spending time with her family, creating personalized quilts, knitting, and staying active.
Terri was predeceased by her husband Albert C.Trudel in 1995.
She leaves behind her children, daughter Andrea and son-in-law Bill Powers, son Albert “Terry” and daughter-in-law Anita Trudel, all of Windham, NH.
Terri was also blessed with four grandchildren, Kate Powers of Portland, ME, Sarah Powers of Wilmington, MA, Paul Trudel of Windham, NH, and Derek Trudel of Atkinson, NH .She also leaves several devoted nieces and nephews.
Arrangements:
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 22 Plymouth Street, Methuen, MA. Family and friends are invited to offer their condolences to the family prior to the service from 9-10.
