Henrietta Shemwell Thweatt, 89, of Clarksville, TN, died on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Sterling House. She was born on October 13, 1923 in Houston County, Tennessee to the late Herschel Shemwell and Lillian Powers Shemwell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Coney Thweatt, brother, Ulvesford Shemwell and sister, Louise Dollarhide Wilson.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Dr. Larry Robertson and Rev. Verlon Moore officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West in Hopkinsville, KY. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. and Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Henrietta was a former production worker for B.F. Goodrich/homemaker. She was also a member of Hilldale Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Lyle Thweatt (Terri) of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Debbie Bryant (Jimmy) of Clarksville, TN; sister, Kathryn (Shine) Thompson of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren, Chase Thweatt, Kelsey Thweatt, Nathan Bryant, and Jamie (Charessa) Bryant; and two great grandsons, Reed Bryant and Cannon Bryant.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
