Therese R. (Gregoire) Tgettis age 82, a former resident of Salem and Danvers, and most recently of Brewster, died at home, Saturday, October 27, 2012, following a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Alexander Tgettis with whom she had shared 46 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Josephat and Marie A. (Letourneau) Gregoire. As a young woman she began working for GTE Sylvania at the Boston St. plant in Salem and remained with the company until her retirement.
A resident of Danvers for many years, she and her late husband enjoyed dancing and frequent trips to Las Vegas. She was also fond of Bingo. Mrs. Tgettis, was a former member of St. James Parish in Salem, and moved to Brewster six years ago to be with her daughter’s family.
She is survived by a daughter, Andrea T. Harrison and her husband David of Brewster, a grandson, Richard L. Harrison of Brewster, a brother, Raymond Gregoire and his wife Artemis of Salem, a sister, Loretta Dixey of Boxford, as well as many nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Alice Popielski and Bella Wheelock & Pauline Harris and brothers, Roland, Robert, Emile & Alfred Gregoire.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem on Friday at 9:00 A.M. to be followed by her funeral mass in St. James Church, 156 Federal St., Salem at 10:00 A.M. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem.
