Marcella Indoccio, 89, of Derry, NH, died Saturday October 27, 2012, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Rome, Italy on March 26, 1923, a daughter of the late Luigi and Anita (Sansi) Crollari. She had been a resident of Derry for the past 55 years, formerly living in Chester, NH. While living in Rome she was employed by the Dept. of Agriculture. Over the years, Mrs.Indoccio was involved in several businesses. She and her husband owned and operated the Home Food Kitchen in Derry for many years, she was part owner of the Merrimac Tile Co. in Derry with her family, and she had co-owned Roma Ladies Wear in Manchester, NH. Mrs. Indoccio was a very talented seamstress; she loved children and they loved her back.
She is survived by two daughters, Grace Matty of Windham, NH, and Kathleen Macolino of Derry and their husbands Lawrence Macolino and Joseph Matty, five grandchildren, Jason, Carlo, Graziella, Vincent, and James; her sister, Anna Lusczyk of Nashua, NH; as well as several nieces, nephews, loving friends and caregivers. She was predeceased by her husband Vincent S. Indoccio on December 28, 2011.
Calling hours were held on Monday, October 29th from 4 - 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry. The burial followed in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Road in Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01710.
