Jacqueline M. (Renaud) Horton, 65, of Norton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of Philip E. Horton, to whom she was married to on May 16, 1971.
Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on June 8, 1947, she was a loving daughter of the late Edgar J., Sr. and Rita C. (Langevine) Renaud.
Jackie grew up and was educated in Woonsocket and Cumberland, and was a graduate of Cumberland High School.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Horton worked in the plastic molding department at Texas Instruments in Attleboro for over 20 years and had also been employed as a baker at Ro-Jack’s, also in Attleboro.
A Norton resident for the past 40 years, she was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton.
Jackie’s hobbies included knitting and crocheting. Her favorite times spent were those in the presence of her adoring family, especially with her grandchildren. She was an exceptionally caring person and along with her sister Nancy, took wonderful care of her mother Rita who passed away recently on May 24, 2012.
In addition to her beloved husband Philip of over 41 years, she is survived by her loving and devoted daughters, Tricia A. DaSilva and her husband Sergio of Norton and Jennifer L. Horton-Robitaille and her husband Mark of Norton. She was the dear sister of Dennis Renaud and Nancy Pierel both of Cumberland, RI and the late Edgar Renaud, Jr., and is also survived by her cherished granddaughters, Raegen DaSilva, Madisyne Robitaille and Lily Robitaille all of Norton.
Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Friday, November 2nd at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 1st from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
