Obituary



NORTH BROOKFIELD/SPENCER: Louis A. "Pat" Gagne, Sr., 81, of 70 Ward St., formerly of Spencer, died Friday, Oct. 26 at Overlook Masonic Home in Charlton.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, Rhea L. (Lapierre) Gagne, two sons Louis A. "Butch" Gagne, Jr. and his wife Elaine of Westminster, and Peter D. Gagne of Spencer, four daughters Patricia A. "Tish" Gagne and her partner Ed Boulanger of Charlton, Laurie A. Gagne and her partner John Herard of No.Brookfield, Jean M. Normandin and her husband Richard of Spencer and Cheryl J. Chesson and her husband Ray of E.Brookfield, 21 grand children, 11 great grand children, many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a son James "Cricket" Gagne, five brothers Robert, Raymond, Henry, David and Joseph Gagne, and sisters Jeanette Desroches and Rita Roman.
Born and raised in Spencer, he was the son of Peter and Evelyn (Cote) Gagne and lived there before moving to No.Brookfield in 2010.He onceserved in the U.S. Army.
Pat was an oil burner technician for 40 years, and owner of Gagne Burner Service in Spencer before retiring in 1986. He was a charter member and former Captain and longtime EMT of the Spencer Rescue & Emergency Squad. He also was a former member and Captain on the Spencer Fire Dept. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Masonic Home for their compassionate care.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 2 to 5p.m.
