Obituary

Dimitrios Kimbouris, 63, of Worcester died, October 25th at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 35 years, Dimitra (Skouras) Kimbouris; his son Aleko Kimbouris and his wife, Sara of Washington, DC; two daughters, Anastasia and Sophia Kimbouris both of Worcester; a brother Panagiotis Kimbouris and his wife, Vera; two sisters, Sofia Notis and her husband, Ioannis and Georgia Georgas and her husband, Panagiotis; five nephews and three nieces all of Limnes, Argos, Greece. He was predeceased by a brother, Ioannis Kimbouris.

He was born in Limnes, Argos, Greece the son of Alexandros and Anastasia (Tsoumbas) Kimbouris and immigrated to Worcester in 1974. Mr. Kimbouris had served in the Greek military. He had been employed by the former Tom McAn Company and later for T. J. Maxx Warehouse in the shipping department. Mr. Kimbouris had been a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, and the Order of A.H.E.P.A. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends, laughing, joking, singing and playing cards.

His funeral is Monday, October 29th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a service at 11:00 a.m. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, October 28th from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Family Center, 102 Russell Street Worcester, MA 01609 or to The Hepatobiliary Cancers Foundation, 164 Market Street, Charlestown, SC 29401.
