William T. “Bill” Johnston, 47, of Chester, NH died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 surrounded by his loving family at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, MA from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on August 6, 1965 in Calais, ME, a son of Ellen G. Tucker and the late William B. Johnston. He was a resident of Chester for 12 years, formerly of Hampstead, NH and a longtime resident of Cheshire, CT. Bill was a graduate of Calais High School, Calais, ME then attended the University of Maine. He was the Owner of Allied Clearwater in Kingston, NH, a family business he started to establish a legacy to pass on to future generations. He was passionate about his work, devoted to his company and proud to be an active member of his community. He was a Harley Davidson and John Deere tractor enthusiast. Bill was a very giving, generous, straight forward person. His only regret is not having the chance to travel the world with his loving wife Michele. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, including his weimaraners Jake, Haley and Kimber.
In addition to his mother of St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, he is also survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Michele (Smith) Johnston of Chester, his four beloved children, Aaron Johnston and his wife Kali, Ryan Johnston, and twin son and daughter, William Alexander Johnston and Camryn Elizabeth Johnston, all of Chester, one amazing granddaughter, Mackenzie Rose Johnston who will miss her grandpapa, one brother, Joshua Johnston of Nevada and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, October 28th from 1 – 5pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday October 29th at 10:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Crystal Avenue, Derry. Burial followed in Great Hill Cemetery, Chester.
