LEICESTER: Albina E. (Butnes) Kovaleski, 89, of Leicester died Wednesday, October 24 in Sandalwood Care & Rehab., Oxford after a long illness.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Walter J. Kovaleski, Sr. She leaves a son Walter J. Kovaleski, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Oxford, two grandchildren Kevin Kovaleski and Susan Direnzo, four great-grandchildren, a brother Stanley Butnes of Auburn and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kovaleski was born in Leicester, daughter of Stanley and Anna (Zablo) Butnes. She worked in the cafeteria at Leicester Memorial School for many years before retiring. She was a member of St. Pius X Church and the Senior Citizen Club of Leicester.
Funeral Services and burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Leicester are private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Leicester Senior Center, 40 Winslow Avenue, Leicester, MA 01542. MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester is directing arrangements.
