WORCESTER-Kathleen A. (Wiederkehr) Tartaglia, 82 formerly of 11 Chamberlain Parkway died Wednesday February 27th in the Blaire House of Worcester. Her husband of 29 years Anthony J. Tartaglia, Sr. died in 1970. She leaves 2 sons Anthony J. Tartaglia of Charlemont and Paul E. Tartaglia of Northfield, VT, a daughter Margaret M. Konkol of Worcester, a brother Edward F. Weiderkehr of Osprey, NY, a sister Julie McCrave of Mineola, NY and 4 grandchildren.
She was born in Elmhurst, Long Island the daughter of Edward and Julia V. (Coghlin) Wiederkehr and had lives in Worcester for many years. Mrs. Tartaglia had been a member of Our Lady of Angles Church and was active in the charismatic movement. She also had volunteered at the former Hahnemann Hospital.
The funeral will be Saturday March 2nd from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:30 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be Monday March 4th in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. Calling hours are Friday March 1st from 4:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
