Obituary

Jeanne Arpin, 91, of Pleasant View Avenue, Smithfield, formerly of Cranston, died Monday, October 22, 1012.

Born in Providence, she was the last of 15 children of the late John J. and Mary B. (Sheridan) Wendell. She had lived in Smithfield for the past four years.

She had worked at Kaplans Jewelers before retiring. During WWII Jeanne worked for the Department of the Navy as a cryptologist, and later as a product demonstrator for General Electric.

She is survived by her son, M. Robert Arpin of Englewood, FL, her grandchildren: Michelle Begina, JD Arpin, Colleen Desjarlais, Heather Woodward, seven great grandchildren: Daniel Arpin, Ashley and Nicholas Desjarlais, Alex and Nicholas Begina and Tyler and Braelyn Woodward and her son-in-law, Robert Caldwell.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday at Noon in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial in Highland Memorial Park. Visitation Thursday morning 10-12noon. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904
