Obituary

New Bedford – Domingo Rose, age 87, died Sunday, October 21 at home in New Bedford. He was the beloved husband of the late Florence “Margie” (Lima) Rose. Mr. Rose was the loving Father of 4 children: Nina Rose-Racine wife of Dennis of Leverett, MA, Tony Rose husband of Anna "Toni" of Nashua, NH, Nancy DaSilva wife of Daniel of Fairhaven and Nora Rose of New Bedford. Domingo is also survived by his grandchildren Domingo Rose, Lorenza Rose, Jerome DaSilva and Nathan DaSilva. He was the brother of Anna Jacintho, Aguinal "Aggie" Rose both of New Bedford and the late Margeret Lopes.
Mr. Rose was a son of the late Mathilde (Goncalves) and Antonio Rose. He was born in Nantucket and has lived in this area most his life. Domingo was a proud member of the U.S. Navy who served during WW II and a member of the V.F.W. Mr. Rose enjoyed spending time with his grand-dog "Kita".
Domingo’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. on Friday at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, in New Bedford at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4-8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
