Robert S. Nichols of Reading passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at his home. He was 27 years of age.
Born in Winchester, Robert was the beloved son of Norman Nichols and Nancy (Griffin) Nichols. Robert was a warm and caring son, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Robert was a dedicated roofer for several years. He was an avid sports fan. Robert played baseball, football and hockey for Reading. He was a loyal fan of the Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins.
Robert was the cherished grandson of Robert and Dorothy (Jordan) Griffin of Reading and the late Stuart and Gertrude Nichols. He was also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Funeral Service Celebrating Robert’s Eternal Life will be held on Friday at 11am in the Chapel of the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Thursday from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped entrance are available. Interment Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
