Linda J. (Nowell) Grilli age 60 of Plymouth, died unexpectedly Saturday October 20, 2012 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She was the devoted wife of Alfred J. Griilli. Linda was born and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late George and Gloria (Salvatore) Nowell and had resided in Plymouth for the past 25 years. A 1970 graduate of Brockton High School, Linda was also a graduate of Bridgewater State College. She was the branch manager at Sovereign Bank in Hingham until illness forced her to take a leave of absence. Linda’s banking career began as a teller at Shawmut Bank and she remained with the bank in various capacities during several bank name changes.
Linda had been a member of the Chamber of Commerce and loved reading, traveling and took pride in being a “Parrot Head”. She especially enjoyed time spent with her husband, family and friends. She will be remembered for unselfishly dedicating her life to the care of her parents.
She was the sister of Ken F. Nowell of Taunton and sister-in-law of Ed Grilli and his wife Mikki of Duxbury, and Dick Grilli and his wife Cindy of Hopkinton. She was also the daughter -in -law of Mary Grilli of Quincy and the late Ettore Grilli.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 4-8 pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Friday at 9 am followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 10 am. Burial in the Mass National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30 pm.
