Frederick A. Mitchell, 79, of Newtonville who was the owner of F. A. Mitchell Co., a pharmaceuticals company, died Tuesday June 8, 2004 at his home.Born in Somerville he attended Somerville Schools and enlisted in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He operated his company from 1956 until his retirement in 1998. He was a longtime member of the Newton Presbyterian Church.He is survived by his wife of 53 years Katherine (Martin) Mitchell, his children Linda and her husband Bill Mackie of Framingham and Lawrence F. Mitchell of Weymouth, his sister Audrey E. Hagen of TX and his grandchildren Scott, Katie, Kristin, Kelli, and Katherine.A funeral service will be held on Fri June 11, 2004 at 12:30 in the Newton Presbyterian Church 75 Vernon St. Newton Corner. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be in the church prior to the service from 10:30 to 12:30. Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Framingham High School Foundation P.O.
