Obituary

Sylvia B. Fisher, 97, a lifelong resident of Brockton died Friday October 19, 2012. Sylvia was the wife of the late Frederick Brides, William H. Connors and Clement J. Fisher Sr. and was the daughter of the late Henry and Eva Warren and sister of the late Dorothy Kovatis. She was a 1933 graduate of Brockton High School; enjoyed many years volunteering at the Food Pantry, area soup kitchens and Our Lady of Lourdes Church and was a longtime member of the Woman’s Club of Brockton. She was an avid bowler and last bowled when she was 91. Sylvia spent 25 years summering on the Cape and will be remembered as a generous lady who cared deeply for those less fortunate.
She is survived by her son Arthur F. Brides and his wife Karen of Florida; her daughter Ann Marie Carlson and her husband Ragnar (Ray) of So. Yarmouth; her grandchildren Robert Carlson of FL, Cynthia MacLean of ME, Alison Thompson of MN and several other grand, great and great grandchildren. She was also the grandmother of Emeline Berry of Scituate who pre deceased her unexpectedly in May of this year.
Visitation in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday October 24, 2012 from 8:30-10am, followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein Parish at 10:30am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
