Worcester—Neshan “Nish” Toromanian, 83, of 48 Sussex Lane, died Tuesday, June 8, in the Holy Trinity Nursing Home. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Beatrice (Paloulian) Toromanian; 2 daughters, Brenda J. Khederian and her husband John of Waltham and Marcia Toromanian of South Dennis; 2 brothers, John Toromanian and Kachadoor “Katch” Toromanian, both of Worcester; 2 grandchildren, Melanie and Marc Khederian of Waltham. He also leaves many loving nieces, nephews, devoted sisters- and brothers-in-law, and a network of friends.
Nish was born in Worcester, son of Manoog and Maritza (Rustigian) Toromanian and lived here all his life. He was a graduate of Commerce High School and worked as a project manager for Raytheon Co., retiring after 30 years of service. He was a WWII Navy veteran, serving aboard LST’s in the Pacific Theatre. He was member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, a life-time member of the Armenian American Civic Club, and a member of the Hye Hackers Golf Club.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 11, at the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 5 – 8 p.m., Thursday, June 10, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. A Dahngark Service will be held at 7 p.m. during the calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St., Worcester, MA 01609.
