Mary G. Andrade, age 95, died Saturday, October 20th at Brandon Woods of New Bedford. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Andrade. Mrs. Andrade was the loving mother of Elizabeth "Bettijean" Andrade of New Bedford, Barbara Andrade of California, Antoinnette Collins of Fairhaven and Marilyn Lopes of New Bedford. She was the mother of late Charlotte Hicks. Mrs. Andrade is predeceased by 3 brothers: August Gonsalves, Antonio Gonsalves and John “Joli” Gonsalves. She was also survived by 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Andrade was born in New Bedford. She was the daughter of the late Charlotte (Pires) and Francisco Andrade. Mary was a bi-lingual school teacher at the Gomes School in the City of New Bedford
Mrs. Andrade’s visiting hours will be from 9:00 - 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, October 23 at the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will ensue at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Assumption Church. Relatives and friends are invited to attend
