Sister Lucy, PM (Sr. Edna Archambault), age 87 a Sister of the Presentation of Mary, died October 18, 2012 at Catholic Medical Center.
She was born in Willimansett, MA June 29, 1925 to Arthur and Emilienne (Roy) Archambault. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Presentation of Mary in Hudson, NH July 29, 1944, pronounced her First Vows February 2, 1947 and Final Vows on August 15, 1952.
She received her education in parochial schools in Willimansett and undergraduate studies at Rivier University in Nashua, NH
Sr. Lucy had exceptional competence as an educator for kindergarten and elementary grades. She taught in parochial schools in Gardner and Aldenville, MA; Guardian Angel in Berlin, Our Lady of the Mountains in Gorham and Presentation of Mary Academy in Hudson. Well into her retirement years she assumed the service of sacristan of the PMA Chapel in Hudson. She was also actively involved in Religious Education at St. Kathryn’s Parish in Hudson. She will be remembered for her dedication, gentleness, compassion and love of teaching.
She leaves three siblings, Rina Gaughan of Hampton, NH, Jeannette Labonte and Ernest Archambault, both of Chicopee, MA; nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, October 22, 2012 in the Resurrection Chapel. Burial was in Presentation of Mary Cemetery in Hudson.
