Obituary

CHICOPEE – Dennis L. Gazaille, 61, of Chicopee, was Called Home on Thursday, October 18, 2012. He passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was born in Holyoke on November 6, 1950, the beloved son of the late Leon and Doris (Vachon) Gazaille. He was raised in Holyoke and was a graduate of the former Precious Blood High School and also received an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Holyoke Community College. He was a resident of Chicopee and later moved to Keene, New Hampshire for several years before returning to the Aldenville section of Chicopee where he resided for the past 26 years. Dennis was employed for several years as a courier at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Chicopee and enjoyed fishing. Dennis was a quiet man who adored his family and showered them with his love and affection which was returned to him a thousand fold. He leaves his beloved wife and best friend, Klara M. (Marriott) Gazaille. They were married on September 29, 1978 at Saint Anne Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 34 years of happiness together. He also leaves his two loving children, Danielle A. Gazaille of Dallas, TX and Brett L. Gazaille of Chicopee; his caring sister, Carol A. Goble of South Hadley; his dear brothers in law from the Marriott family, Drew Smith of Westfield and Wilfred Smith of Houston, TX; and his many cherished nephews and nieces. His funeral will be held on Tuesday morning, October 23, 2012 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His burial will be private at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 22, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot is located in the rear of the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, Founder’s Affiliate, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
