Obituary

Blanche D. McCloskey, age 87, passed away Monday at the Wentworth Skilled Care Center in Lowell following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late William R. McCloskey. Born in Somerville she was the daughter of the late Josephine (Frediani) and Pasquale Preziosi.

Mrs. McCloskey was an accomplished artist for many years. She was a member of the Woburn Guild of Artists and worked for over ten years with Compugraphics of Burlington, she retired in 1977. Mrs. McCloskey was an Arlington resident for eight years and formerly lived in Woburn for over twenty years. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in BlancheĀ“s memory to the Alzheimer disease and Related Disorders Assoc. 36 Cameron Ave, Cambridge, MA 02140.

In addition to her late husband and parents, Mrs. McCloskey is preceded in death by her brother Joseph Preziosi and her sister Mary Benvie. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Brogna-Steibli of Arizona, Johanne Smith of Methuen and Sheila McCloskey-Marchand of Pepperell. She is also survived by fifteen loving grandchildren and twelve loving great grandchildren.

Funeral from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Friday, at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St. Woburn, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, 5 thru 9. Services will cocnlude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
