Richard "Dick" Williamson, 81, of Anderson died October 16, 2012 at Community Hospital following an extended illness.
Dick was born December 15, 1930 to Herbert and Marian (Chalfant) Williamson in Anderson, IN where he graduated from Anderson High School in 1949.
He served in the US Air Force for 4 years during the Korean War and was a member of the 51st Fighter Wing.
He was an Industrial Electrician at Delco Remy for 48.9 years. He was a member of VFW Post 266 and UAW Local 662.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Sue (Moyer) Williamson of Anderson whom he married May 19, 1956 in Frankton, IN; his 2 sons Andrew F. Williamson of Middletown and Derek C. Williamson of Anderson; 2 brothers Harry (Nancy) Williamson and Jack Williamson and his sister Patty Sheets; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers Robert, Mark, Jim, Herbert, George and Charlie Williamson and a sister Nancy Jarrell.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20 at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. R. B. Bingham officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery where graveside rites will be provided by VFW Post 266.
Visitation will be held from 3-8 P.M. on Friday, October 19 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Memorial contributions may be given to Salvation Army or American Lung Association.
