DUDLEY – Joanne M. Kos, 73, of Dudley, died Monday, October 15, 2012 after a period of declining health.
She leaves a brother, Clifford J. Kos and his wife Yvonne A. Kos of Palmdale, CA; 2 nieces, Kristine DeLarra of Utah, formerly of Saudi Arabia, and Kathleen Jone of Germany, formerly of South Korea; 2 grandnephews and 2 grandnieces; and several cousins.
She was born in Webster, daughter of Joseph A. and Josephine A. (Piasta) Kos and was a lifelong resident of Dudley. She graduated from Bartlett High School and the Boston City Hospital School of Nursing.
She was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
Joanne was a registered nurse before she retired.
A funeral service will be held at 10:0 AM on Monday, October 22, in the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will provide the military honors. Calling hours are from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, October 21, in the funeral home.
