Antoinette “Ann” Ruggiero, 90 of Somerville, died Tuesday after a brief illness in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford, MA.
Born in Boston, she lived the past 85 years in Somerville and was the daughter of the late Michelina (Mozzariello) and Joseph Matarazzo.
Ann was the Cafeteria Manager with the Somerville Public School for 20 years and retired in 1988.
Beloved wife of the late Carmen A. “Charlie” Ruggiero. Devoted mother of Joanne Contaldi and Michelle Ruggiero both of Saugus. Loving grandmother of Gia and Gerard Contaldi. Sister of Clara Matarazzo, Archetta “Jackie” Aurigemma, Anthony Matarazzo all of Somerville, Margaret Bouyer of Reading, Robert Matarazzo of Burlington and the late Rose Aurigemma and Dolores Reilly.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
