Methuen - Andres A. Hernandez, 73, of Methuen died at Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Holy Family Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Andres, son of the late Avelino and Rosa (Enriquez) Hernandez, was born in Havana, Cuba on November 10, 1938. He and his family immigrated from Cuba to Lawrence, Massachusetts in 1969, where he worked at Malden Mills until his retirement in 2003.
Andres was a kind and loving man who dedicated his life to his parents and would selflessly give of himself. He will be deeply missed by his brother, Avelino Hernandez and his wife Eva of Lawrence; three sisters, Rosa Barrial, widow of Gonzalo, of Methuen, Siomara Dube, widow of Gonzalo, of Florida, and Paulina Lopez and her husband Jose of Lawrence; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Luis Hernandez, and a sister, Dinorah Diaz.
Andres’ life will be celebrated and lovingly remembered in a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Assumption Parish, 205 Hampshire St., Lawrence on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence. Friends and family will be warmly received in the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen from 4-8 PM Friday.
