John Martin Luallin

John Martin Luallin, 70, of Anderson, went to be with his Father in Heaven on October 17, 2012.
John was born September 25, 1942 in Grovespring, MO to John Albert and Leah (Grann) Luallin, Jr.
He was an engineering manager for Guide Lamp division of General Motors before retiring January 1, 1998 after 33 years of service.
He was an elder at Lindberg Road Church of Christ since 1989. He lead mission trips to Honduras for 11 years; and also went on missions trips to Haiti and Italy. He loved to volunteer to clean up after natural disasters, including Katrina and Southern Indiana tornadoes. He selflessly devoted his time to Anderson Christian School after retirement by maintaining the facilities, substituting as a shop teacher, and by overseeing the expansion of the facilities. He did it all!
He is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Ruby (Davis) Luallin whom he married November 7, 1964; his 3 children Lynnetta (Gary) Pierce Jr.; Jennifer (Phillip) Livingston all of Anderson and Angela Luallin of Indianapolis; his four grandchildren Eston Livingston; Camden Livingston; Gaven Pierce and Lincoln Pierce; siblings Mary (Don) Arnold; Dean (Ilene) Luallin; Betty (Larry) Smith; Lynn (Gloria) Luallin all of MO; Sherri Luallin of CA and Lisa (Jerry) Wiggins of MO; several nieces and one nephew
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, October 20, at Lindberg Road Church of Christ with Ryan Smith officiating. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, October 19, 2012 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service and also one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to Anderson Christian School or Lindberg Road Church of Christ Honduras Mission Fund.
