Jerome E. Plante, 72, of Snake Hill Road died Monday, October 15, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Morin) Plante. They were married for 34 years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Edouard M. and Helen (Waterman)Plante, he lived in Glocester his whole life.
Mr. Plante was a truck driver for J. H. Lynch & Sons in Cumberland until his retirement and was a member of Local 251. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Harmony Fire Department for over 50 years and also with the Chepachet Fire Department.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Lt. Joseph A. Plante,PFD and his wife Denise of Pascoag, Stuart R. Lallier and his wife, Elizabeth of Honolulu, Hawaii, Steve R. Lallier of Coventry and Christine A. Bigwood and her husband, Mirko of Chepachet;his grandchildren, Jason, Bronston, Amber, Taylor, Morgan and Alesia and a great grandson, Charlie; his siblings, Germaine A. Stott, Marie H. Howard and Capt. David G. Plante, PFD.
