Michael V. Lopresti, 47, of Hudson, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct. 13th. He is survived by his three loving children, Abigail Doris Lopresti, Joseph Vincent Lopresti and John “Jack” David Lopresti; his former wife and mother of his children, Jill M. Schafer, all of Hudson along with his father, Philip Lopresti of Phillips, ME.
Michael was born in Camp Lejeune, NC, son of Philip Lopresti and the late Jane Marie (White) Lopresti. He was raised in Plymouth where he attended local schools and was a 1983 graduate of Plymouth-Carver High School. He later attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and received his Master’s Degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Michael was currently employed as an Electrical Engineer by Oracle Corporation of Burlington.
Michael enjoyed skiing and golfing in his spare time. He has spent the last four years coaching within the Hudson Youth Football program, and most of all enjoyed spending time with his children and other family members. He was truly loved by all who knew him.
Besides his father, children and former wife, he is survived by his four brothers, John A. Lopresti and his wife Mary Beth of Sterling, VA, Frank E. Lopresti and his wife Becky of Concord, Thomas J. Lopresti and his wife Kimberly of Asheville, NC and Harold A. Lopresti of Pembroke. He also leaves his many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Calling hours for Michael will be held on Thursday, Oct. 18th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. A memorial service and celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Friday, Oct. 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home
