In Taunton, of Buffington Street, October 15, 2012 Norma (Riva) Murphy wife of John A. Murphy died peacefully at her home with her family by her side. Born in Taunton, Norma was the daughter of the late Mario and Rosa (Traverso) Riva. Norma was a graduate of Taunton High School class of 1947 and Kathleen Dell Secretarial School formerly in Boston. She was a member of the St Mary’s Woman’s Guild for over sixty years, Coyle and Cassidy mothers club, Weir Senior Citizens, Morton Hospital Auxiliary and the past president the board of directors of Taunton Visiting Nurses Association in charge of the Well Child Clinic. Norma was the mother of Sharon Shustack and her husband Steven of Wareham, Diane Suneson and her husband Michael of Taunton and Jacquelyn Arieta and her husband Thomas of Rehoboth. Grandmother of Michael, James, Erin, Christina, Christopher and Ian. Sister of Hugo Riva of Buzzards Bay and Ramo Riva of Taunton. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Friday, October 19th at 10 AM. A funeral Mass will be held at St Mary’s Church in Taunton at 11 AM. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment St Francis Cemetery in Taunton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Union Sisters, P.O.
