Mrs. Patricia E. (Teehan) Ripley, a longtime resident of Medford and beloved wife of the late Frederick M. Ripley, died at the Courtyard Nursing Center in Medford on Monday, October 15, 2012. She was 85 years old.
Born in Boston on April 20, 1927, she was the beloved daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Donovan) Teehan. Patricia married her beloved husband, Frederick, on September 4, 1948. Mrs. Ripley was employed by the Phone Company as an operator for many years and also worked for the Leukemia Society. She was also a fan of the Red Sox and loved to play Bingo. Above all, Patricia was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She will be very sorely missed by her loving children; Marynora and her husband Louis D. Angelli of Billerica, Patrick H. and his wife Mary L. Ripley of Stoneham and John F. and his wife Sue Ripley of Las Vegas, Nevada, cherished grandchildren; Lauren, Christopher, Patrick, Meaghan, Brendan and Dennis, dear great-grandchildren; Brett, Aaron, Braden, Logan and Jacob, devoted sister; Mary Prior of Somerville, sisters-in-law; Mary Louise Lee of Denver, Colorado and Virginia and her husband John Powers of Las Vegas, Nevada and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Edward Teehan.
Her funeral will be from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Friday, October 19, 2012, at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
