SHREWSBURY – Mr. George Abraham of Shrewsbury died Thursday October 11th at St Vincent Medical Center after an illness.
He leaves his wife of fifty-three years, Patricia (Soter) Abraham, his children, Paul Abraham of Shrewsbury, Michael Abraham and his wife Sophia of Westborough; a sister, Cecile Lynch of Worcester; a sister in law, Jeannette Abraham of Shrewsbury; and many nieces and nephews.
George was pre-deceased by his brothers, John and James and sisters, Annie, Josephine, and Juliette.
He was born in Fairfield, Maine, son of the late Rashid and Mamie (Slayman) Abraham. A veteran of World War II where he was a member of the 104th Infantry Division, Timberwolves. He later served as a military policeman.
George was a graduate of the New England School of Accounting and taught there as an instructor. He was a self employed Public Accountant in Worcester for over forty years.
He was a dedicated father and husband and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church of Worcester.
Visiting hours will be Monday October 15th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Worcester from 9:00am to 10:30am. His funeral service will begin at 10:30am. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Shrewsbury.
