Barney Keith “Goff” Nolan, Jr., 48, of Byromville died Sunday, October 14, 2012, at Crisp Regional Medical Center in Cordele. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Zion Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ronny Vice will officiate with burial to follow. Dale Aultman, Roger Sutton, Chad Faircloth, Ralf Woolery, Roger Aultman and Perry Fountain will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Nolan was born on October 7, 1964 in Tift County and was the son of Barney Nolan, Sr. and June Goff, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by a niece, Leslie Aultman. He was self-employed as a trimmer and was a member of Believers Baptist Church in Tifton. He was an avid fisherman and Georgia Bulldog fan and a fan of NASCAR.
Mr. Nolan is survived by one son, Keith Nolan of Clinton, Tennessee; his fiancé, Gloria White of Byromville; his step-father, J. T. Goff of Enigma; one step-daughter, Sonya Thompson and her husband, Brian of Ellaville; three sisters, Loretta Goff and Jim of Tifton, Becky Jean Woolery and Ralf of Destin, Florida and Deborah Aultman and Chad of Cordele; three grandchildren, Tyler Sledge, Cameron Thompson and Miranda Thompson, all of Ellaville; two nieces, Trish Aultman and Dara Lynn Lane; and two nephews, Roger Sutton and Dale Aultman.
