Beverly J. Farrell, a life-long resident of Woburn passed away peacefully on October 12th at the Aberjona Nursing Home in Winchester following a short illness. She was 82. Beverly was the beloved wife of Joseph R. Farrell and together they shared 64 years of marriage. Born in Woburn she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Amy (Kruss) Sakowich.
Beverly was raised in North Woburn and was a 1947 graduate of Woburn High School. Following her marriage to Joseph, they soon started their family together bringing four children into the world. Beverly was mostly devoted to raising and caring for her family. In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening and also enjoyed walking. For many years she worked for the former Bradlees Department Store of Woburn.
In addition to her beloved husband, Beverly is survived by her children, Carol Vance and her husband Frank of Saco, ME, Joseph C. Farrell and his wife Lauren of Cresskill, NJ, Deborah J. Brogan and her husband Chip of North Andover, Mike Farrell and his wife Carolyne of Newburyport. She was the loving grandmother of Todd and Tammy Vance, Kerry, Brett, and Keely Farrell, Stephen and Sean Martin. She was the loving great grandmother of Cameron, Neely, Brady and Connor. Beverly is predeceased by her brothers, the late Herbert Sakowich and Carl Sakowich.
A Funeral service will be conducted in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Wednesday, October 17th, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home will be held on Tuesday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions may be made in Beverly's name to Aberjona Nursing Center, 184 Swanton St., Winchester, MA 01890.
