Millbury – Joseph G. Ethier, 83, of Worcester, died on Friday, October 12th in the Millbury Healthcare Center after an illness.
Mr. Ethier’s wife of 24 years, Ann Marie (Wilmot) Ethier died in 2002. Joseph was born in Leicester, son of the late Francis and Helen M. (Levesque) Ethier and is predeceased by a brother Raymond Ethier.
A brother, Eugene R. Ethier and his wife Michelena of Millbury; four sisters, Doris E. Beaudry and her husband Leo of Auburn, Rita Beaudry of Paxton, Barbara Morrow of Worcester and Patricia Swett of Worcester as well as many nephews and nieces survive him.
Joseph spent his entire work career at the Montrose Products Company where he worked for 41 years as a machine operator retiring in 1993. He enjoyed many things during his life, but he especially loved antiquing in Brimfield and traveling to many places with his wife. Mr. Ethier also had a special place in his heart for animals, especially his cats.
The funeral will be held on Monday, October 15th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Saint Peter’s Church 931 Main St. Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester with the committal service to be held in the mausoleum. Calling hours are on Sunday, October 14th from 4 to 6 PM in the funeral home.
