Cornelia "Jean" O'Connor, 83, of Clarksville, TN, died on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center. She was born on March 1, 1929 in Ferguson, Missouri as the second of eight children to the late Cornelius John Crowley and Ola Smith Crowley. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy O'Connor Barnhart (Robert).
Funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 12 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sango Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Jean was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was an avid card player at the Clarksville Country Club. She was a volunteer at the Clarksville Historical Society. She also published and wrote a book on The Immaculate Conception Church, Its History, Its People.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Claude "Dwan" O'Connor of Clarksville, TN; son, Kevin O'Connor (Lisa) of Rockwall, TX; three daughters, Linda O'Connor Barnett (Bill), Jodi O'Connor Griffey (John) of Clarksville, TN, and Emily O'Connor Bryant (Eben) of Shelbyville, TN; two sisters, Carol Sinco and Norma Crowley of Michigan; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
