James E. Adams, Sr.
Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, October 10, 2012, Mr. James E. Adams, Sr., 78, loving husband of 60 years to Sallie Reynolds Adams.
Mr. Adams worked for the City of Augusta for over 40 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #677, Thunderbird Boat Club, and was of the Baptist Faith.
Family members in addition to his wife include sons: Ricky Gene Adams (Denise) of North Augusta, Ronald Grover Adams (Teresa) of Evans, Donald Reedy Adams of Martinez; daughters: Glenda Adams Buchanan (Scott) of Bath, SC, Janice Jones of Hephzibah; sister: Barbara Adams of Augusta; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by son: J.E. “Jimmy” Adams, Jr.; parents: William “Grover” Adams, Sr. and Gaynell Jamison Adams; brothers: William Grover Adams, Jr., Billy Edward Adams; sisters: Gertrude Adams Cawley and Helen Adams Mills.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Tip Carroll officiating with Masonic Rites recited at the grave.
