Sharon Kay (Capps) James, age 74, of Anderson, died at her residence October 6, 2012 after an extended illness.
Sharon was born August 18, 1938 in Mecca, IN to Joe and Mary (Murphy) Capps.
She worked in dietary at Manor Care Nursing Home for 21 years before retiring in 2007.
She enjoyed spending time with her great grandkids and spending time with her friends.
She is survived by her 3 children Marla Whitehead, Matt Whitehead and Lisa Osselaer all of Anderson; 3 sisters: Catherine Curry and Peggy Fisher of Anderson; Helena Shoemaker of Clinton, IN; 2 brothers David Capps of Mecca and Pat Capps of Anderson; 5 grandchildren Derrick Osselaer; Stephanie Osselaer; Tyler Whitehead; Whitney Whitehead and Casey Whitehead; 7 great grandchildren: Bailey, Owen, Rylee, Evan, D'Andre, Jayden and De'Layna and a great grandson on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray James died in 1980 and 2 brothers.
Services will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Eddie Purciful of North Anderson Wesleyan Church officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 11 from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at the funeral home.
