With his loving family at his bedside, reminiscing about the good old times, and the sounds of his favorite music playing in the backround, James Kenneth "Jim" Noone, age 39, of Brockton passed away on June 5, 2004 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with cancer .
The son of Edward and Jean Noone, Jim was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1982, where he was a two year starting defensive lineman on the outstanding football teams which participated in three consecutive super bowls. He also played little league, pony league and colt league baseball. He attended Fitchburg State College and New England Technical Institute of Rhode Island.
Jim was an avid reader and writer who was fascinated by all things in nature from the smallest insect to the solar system~ and could speak on virtually any subject. He also was a terrific sports fan, who had a special love for the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox.
Jim leaves, besides his parents, four brothers: Edward, Jr., Jack and Steven of Brockton, and David of Bridgewater. Also, four sisters, Patricia Noone, Deborah DiBiasio, Joanne Shea and Julie Anderson, all of Brockton, sixteen nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Saturday, June 12,2004 at 6:00 PM at St. Mary's Chapel on the campus of Stonehill College, at a mass celebrated by Rev. Bartley McPhaidin, President Emeritus-Chancellor .
