Billy Gerald Fly, age 77, of Coffeeville, MS died Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley, MS. He was born November 6, 1934 to the late Bilbo and Earlene Helm Fly in Yalobusha County, and served in the Army National Guard during the Panama Crisis. Gerald was a farmer and owner of Yalobusha Farm Supply in Coffeeville. He enjoyed membership in the Coffeeville Chamber of Commerce and was a member of First Baptist Church of Coffeeville.
Services are planned for 2 PM Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Coffeeville with Dr. Thad Moore and Bro. Daniel Hathorne officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time at the church and interment will follow in the Coffeeville City Cemetery.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Jean Breedlove Fly of Coffeeville, MS; two daughters, Renee Meyer (Russ) of Palm City, FL and Rachel Mixon (Heath) of Coffeeville, MS; two sons, Jerry Fly and Jeff Fly (Lisa), both of Grenada, MS; one sister, Eleanor Boyle (E.O.) of Coffeeville, MS; three brothers, Harold Fly (Pearl) of Grenada, MS, Lynn Allen Fly (Lylia) of Horn Lake, MS, and Johnny Fly (Lalie) of Cascilla, MS; and seven grandchildren, Kayleen Fly, Mary Mixon, Katie Fly, Katelyn Fly, Anna Grace Fly, Molly Fly, and Gage Mixon.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Fly and Bob Fly.
