Obituary

Exeter, NH - Lillian (Taylor) Zangri, 96, of Exeter, NH and a longtime resident of Lawrence, died peacefully at Exeter on Hampton on Saturday, October 06, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Joseph Zangri.

Lillian, daughter of the late George H. and Alice (Dewhurst) Taylor, was born in Methuen on November 28, 1911 and was educated in the Methuen School System.

Mrs. Zangri was employed as a senior clerk at the Raytheon Company in Andover for over 15 years until her retirement. She was a member of the I.B.E.W. and the AFL-CIO. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, cooking, and flower gardening.

Lillian is survived by 19 nieces and nephews, including Glenn D. Taylor and his wife, Celeste, Janice E. Oskar, and Beverly Wilson, and many grandnieces and grandnephews, including Jeffrey G. Taylor. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by three sisters, Eleanor Oskar, Alice McElroy, and Norma Jardis, and four brothers, Travis, Alfred, John, and Edward Taylor.

Family and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Lillian’s life by gathering for a visitation on Wednesday from 10 – 11AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. A graveside service will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.

Those who wish to make a memorial contribution in Lillian’s memory in lieu of flowers are kindly asked to consider the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
