Charles W. (Chuck) Goodson, age 81, of Winterville, GA, formerly of Duluth, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Duluth Chapel, with military honors. Burial will follow in Frank Church Cemetery, Ocilla, GA .
Born in Kannapolis, NC, Mr. Goodson retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service, including 3 years of special operations at Herbert Field, FL. and also worked in the automotive manufacturing industry for American Motors and was Zone Service Manager and City Manager for Atlanta Jeep Corp. He was a member of the Marion, Va. #31 Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Goodson, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Colleen Goodson, of Anderson, SC; daughter and son-in-law, Bunny and John Henson of Social Circle; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Betty Goodson of Charlotte, NC; sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel and Campbell Louthern, of Bristol TN; Judy and Junior Martin of Marion, VA; and Linda Parker of Cumberland, VA; four grandchildren, Dusty, Danny and Brandon Goodson and Lexi Henson.
