In Taunton, October 5, 2012 Joan M. Henry, age 61 passed away in her home with her loving family by her side, following a brief illness. Joan was born in Taunton, the daughter of Alice M. Henry and the late William F. Henry. Joan has resided in Taunton since 1998 and was previously from San Diego, CA and the surrounding area which she loved. Joan was a hairdresser and bartender, most recently working at the Raynham Dog Track. She enjoyed hiking, biking, the beach, California and above all her children and grandchildren. Joan is survived by her loving children Alfred A. Craven of Taunton and James E. Craven of Wilmington, VT. Her grandchildren Jairek K. Craven of Taunton and Brianna Flanagan of Wilmington, VT. Also her siblings Cheryl Leary of Middleboro, Priscilla Ferreira of Taunton, William Henry and Raymond Henry both of CA. Joan also leaves several nieces and nephews and many close friends. Funeral services are private at the request of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton, MA.
